Reservation / cancelation policy |
In order to make a
definite, confirmed Boat Reservation you will need to provide
the following:
- Your full name, address, home and cell phone numbers.
- Your credit card number with expiration date.
- The number of people in your party.
- Your boat-operating level of experience.
- Your 50% deposit via a credit or debit
card
BOAT CANCELLATION & WEATHER POLICY:
Upon booking a 50% deposit is required by a credit or debit card
to reserve that boat for you.
In order to avoid being charged for a "No-Show" or for a
Late Cancellation fee, reservation cancellations for
personal reasons must be called in no less than 48 hours
prior to what was to be your arrival time. If you call
to cancel you should write down and keep the confirmation # as
well as the time, date, and name of the person who confirmed
your cancellation.
If the weather looks to be questionable, please
call us before assuming that it is going to be too bad for a
pleasurable day of boating. It is not at all uncommon for it to
be raining in the Orlando area for example, while we're getting
perfect weather in our local area, or vice versa. We'll never
expect anyone to venture out into rainy or windy conditions just
because they made a reservation, but we do ask that you check in
with us before making any assumptions about the weather. We do
have a fairly lenient weather policy on actual and
localized bad weather, however it is important to
understand that we can rarely rely on the weather forecast to
make cancellation decisions. Rather than counting on the
consistently unreliable weather forecasts, we've learned over
the past decade + that monitoring the local weather
radar is a much more telling sign of approaching
weather conditions.
In the event that your rental time is cut short due to
unexpected heavy rainfall, local lightning, or high winds, we'll
be glad to refund you the difference of your time lost by
prorating your rental amount paid.
BOAT RESERVATION RECOMMENDATIONS:
For non-holiday weekdays we recommend
reserving your boat at least 2 or 3 days in advance.
For non-holiday weekends we recommend
reserving your boat at least 4 or 5 days in advance.
For any days leading up to, during, and following the more
popular HOLIDAYS we recommend reserving your
boat at least a full week or more in advance.
Also, it's completely up to you whether you want to come out and
enjoy every possible minute of your reserved time slot, or
whether you happen to arrive a little late and/or decide to
return your boat earlier than required. Either way we will
usually have to charge you for the full amount. But
PLEASE remember that you MUST call in to notify us if you are
going to arrive here more than 30 minutes late. If you
haven't arrived and we haven't heard from you 30 minutes past
your prearranged arrival time, then you will very possibly
forfeit your reservation to someone on our stand-by list, if
applicable. |
